A normal field trip? No way! Cruise on down to Main Street and join CPCSC on a one-day, fun, fast-paced tour of our district. Designed as an overview for our community, a ride on The Bulldog Tour Bus is a chance to become more acquainted with CPCSC, our current projects, and what’s ahead. And yes, our day will be themed around The Magic School Bus. “Seatbelts, everyone!”
The tour will be August 8th, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
How does this program compare to the CPCSC Ambassador Program?
- The Bulldog Tour Bus is a one-day event of up to 35 community members. It’s a broad overview of the district. The Ambassador Program is a more in-depth, monthly commitment and has 15 community members. The tour day is a great option for those who want to learn more about our schools but aren’t interested in as much information as the Ambassador Program or can’t commit to the program every month.
- The Bulldog Tour Day is held when school is not in session. With 35 participants, we want to minimize learning disruptions but still be able to see classrooms. The Ambassador Program is held during a school day, and those individuals interact directly with students.
What is meant by fast-paced?
- We will be squeezing as many visits and as much information as possible into this single-day program. Participants will arrive at Central Office at 8:00 a.m. and will be on-the-go via CPCSC school bus until 3:00 p.m. You’ll want to wear shoes for walking because you’ll certainly get in your steps as we tour multiple buildings! Along the way, Superintendent Dr. Terrill and Director of Communications Brooke Allen will share information about district initiatives and programs.
- Lunch and snacks will be provided for all participants.
What kind of topics will be covered on the tours?
- We will tour four CPCSC schools and learn about what makes each one unique.
- An overview of our recent construction projects will show our community how we’re preparing for the future and creating more opportunities for students.
- Participants will also learn about administration basics, district support departments, school safety overview, and inclusion.
Do I have to be a CPCSC parent?
- No! We welcome any adult who lives in our district to join us on this program. We hope members of our community connect more with their local schools through this opportunity.
How do I sign up?
- Just complete the form on this page. We ask that only one person per family registers. This event is not for students. Registration is open until we reach 35 participants.
- All participants must pass a criminal background check.
