Returning Students

Online registration is for all RETURNING students including kindergarten students who pre-registered in the spring of 2023.

Students who changed schools as part of the redistricting process are considered returning students.
Preschool students should watch their mailbox for specific instructions regarding preschool registration. For questions, email kelsey01@cps.k12.in.us.
New students or students who were withdrawn during the school year must follow new student procedures.

If you are moving over the summer, you must update your address before August 10. This can be done by visiting your child’s school and providing proof of address. If you submit a change of address after August 10, transportation will be available starting August 22.

We're Moving to PowerSchool!

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! CPCSC is transitioning to a new student information system called PowerSchool, which replaces RDS. Because this system is new, you will need to create a Parent Portal account before completing registration.

Step One - Create your Parent Portal account

Visit this link and enter your information.
Enter each child’s name, their unique access ID, and password. You should have received this information via email on July 21st. If you did not receive it, please call your child's school for the information.
After clicking “Enter,” PowerSchool will send you an email to verify your account. Be sure to check your spam folder.
After verifying, you will be able to log in to PowerSchool to complete Step Two.
If you would like to read the annual notices and agreements before registration, you can find them on our website.

*Do not complete pre-registration on the new student page. Please follow the instructions for returning students.*

Step Two - Complete Registration Starting on your Assigned Day

Please log in to your new PowerSchool account and complete the following steps for each child.

Visit the Forms tab.
Check the information in Student Demographics and Student Address. If any information is wrong, call your child’s school and request a change.
Complete the Student Contacts. This information is also used for our messaging system, ParentSquare. It will say "pending review" when you are finished.
Complete the Health Information section, including doctor info, medical history, and medication. Review the Health Information Agreements.
Read and electronically sign/acknowledge the annual notices and remaining documents.
Each form should say "Submitted" and the Student Contact form will say "Pending Review". This is the final step. Unlike RDS, you will not receive a confirmation email.
Should you encounter any issues while registering, please contact your child’s school.

Our team is continuing to move data from RDS. Lunch account balances, student schedules, and previous grades are not available yet. If you need this information immediately, please contact your child’s school for help.
Students will be able to log in to their PowerSchool accounts on August 4th.
Because of recent legislative changes, families will not be charged fees for textbooks, Chromebooks, and other classroom materials for the 2023-2024 school year. You will be charged course/supply fees if your student is enrolled in Dual Credit or preschool, is taking an AP exam, or has lost/damaged materials.
