The Accelerated Reader program is a computerized program that tests reading comprehension. Students select books on their reading level, read independently, and take an independent comprehension test on the computer. Each book is worth a certain number of points based on its length and reading level. Students get a percentage of these points based on how many of the test questions they get right. The program tracks their progress over the course of the school year.Solon is proud to be a part of Renaissance Place, this is a web based program that gives your student access to over 129,000 quizzes. Click on this link to go to Renaissance home connect and click on AR Book Finder to find out if your book has an AR Quiz. Remember just because you find a book on AR book finder, it just means a quiz is available, it doesn't always mean I have that book at Solon. You can test on books that you have in your library at home, or from the public library or from a book store; if it has a quiz. You can't take quizzes from home, you can only take a test at school. If you need to search the library catalog please click on the Destiny Link on the first page. Here is our AR theme this year; Please Don't Bug me, I'm READING!
