    Mr. Mark Gianfermi

    Mark Gianfermi, Principal

    Mr. Gianfermi has worked in education for 25 years.  Prior to his time in Crown Point, he taught Social Studies, Special Education, and Computer Applications at Edison Jr/Sr. High School and Central Middle School in Port Huron, Michigan.  He began his administrative career at North Newton Jr/Sr. High School in Morocco, Indiana during the 2001/2002 school year.  After starting as Assistant Principal for one year, he then served as Principal for the next five years. 

    Mr. Gianfermi moved to Crown Point High School as the Freshman Principal in 2007.  He worked at the Crown Point High School for the next ten years.  In 2017, Mr. Gianfermi became the second Principal at Colonel John Wheeler Middle School.  Mr. Gianfermi has really enjoyed interacting with the students, parents, teachers, and staff members that he has been able to work with and get to know over the past two and a half decades.  He looks forward to continuing his work in education right here at Colonel John Wheeler Middle School!

    Mr. David Vode

     

    David C. Vode, Assistant Principal

    Mr. Vode has worked in education for 19 years with the last 6 years as Assistant Principal at Colonel John Wheeler Middle School.  Prior to his time at Colonel John Wheeler Middle School, he had taught Fifth grade at Liberty Elementary in Hobart, Indiana as well as, Wilson Creek Elementary in Johns Creek, Georgia.  He began his administrative career during his time at Barnwell Elementary in Johns Creek, Georgia.

    In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, who is a fellow educator, along with his two children and the various sports/activities they participate in.  He is very happy to be back in the area to spend time with his other family members and looks forward to his continued career in Crown Point.
