National Junior Honor Society is open to second semester 6th, all 7th, and all 8th graders who have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.75 out of 4.0. Invitations are sent to candidates the second semester of each school year. These candidates complete a Student Activity Form listing any leadership positions, service activities, community activities, and other recognitions or awards. A committee of five faculty members reviews each student's activity form as well as his/her scholarship (GPA). This council makes the decisions for membership. Those students chosen for membership into National Junior Honor Society attend an induction ceremony in May.
