CPCSC Multicultural Fair

The Crown Point Community School Corporation’s Multilingual Learner team invites families, staff, and community members to attend its annual Multicultural Fair on Thursday, April 24, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Crown Point High School cafeteria.

The fair is a celebration of the cultural diversity that exists within CPCSC’s schools and the broader Crown Point community. Families and staff members will host interactive booths showcasing their cultural heritage through traditional clothing, artifacts, and food. The evening will also feature music, games, and hands-on activities that reflect customs from around the world.

"This event is a way for our students and families to share their heritage and be celebrated for who they are," said Anna Retzlaff, CPCSC District ELL/ML Specialist. "It’s a night of learning, laughter, and connection that highlights the many backgrounds and cultures in our schools."

Guests can look forward to a variety of engaging activities, including:

  • Traditional Punjabi Bhangra dance
  • Henna tattoo table
  • Chinese paddle fan decorating
  • Brazilian carnival mask-making
  • Parol (Filipino ornamental lantern) craft
  • Cardboard ricksha decorating
  • Origami (with three levels of difficulty)
  • Bit Mat Bat De – a traditional Vietnamese game combining elements of tag and Marco Polo

The event is free and open to the public. All are welcome to stop by, sample traditional foods, and explore the many cultures that make up the Crown Point community.
