Crown Point Community School Corporation is pleased to announce changes to their administrative team for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year.

Within the district, Mark Gianfermi (Director of Secondary Education) will become the new Assistant Superintendent with Sabrina Ramirez (Director of Elementary Education) moving to Director of Secondary Education. Nick Ciochina (principal at Timothy Ball) will move to Director of Elementary Education, and Amy Helmuth (assistant principal at CPHS) will become the new Assistant Director of Secondary Education.

The district welcomes Ryan Eckart as the new principal of Timothy Ball Elementary. He is currently the principal of Red Cedars Elementary, and was previously the principal of Jane Ball Elementary, both of which are in Cedar Lake and part of the Hanover school district. Prior to that, Mr. Eckart worked at Concord Community Schools as the Director of Elementary Education for two years and was also with the School City of Hammond for five years as an administrator. Mr. Eckart has a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Valparaiso University, a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Purdue University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Oakland City University in Oakland City, Indiana.

CPCSC also welcomes Sara Stanzione-Emerson as the new assistant principal at Col. John Wheeler Middle School. She is currently the student teaching supervisor at Indiana University Northwest. Previously, Mrs. Stanzione-Emerson was an assistant principal, dean, and teacher at Wilbur Wright Middle School in Munster. She has a Bachelor's degree in Secondary English Education from Purdue University and a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Purdue University Northwest.

Superintendent Dr. Todd Terrill expressed his excitement for the new appointments, stating, "I am confident that these administrative changes will greatly benefit our students and teachers and continue to make Crown Point Schools one of the best districts in the state. We are fortunate to have such talented individuals joining our team."
