     Our Mission is to support the education
    of children at Timothy Ball Elementary School
    by fostering relationships among the school, parents and teachers.
     

    If you have a child attending Timothy Ball,

    you are already a PTO member!
     

    There are several ways to get involved at our school.

    From photocopying, decorating for parties, and fundraising,
     
    to planning, organizing, and data entry...
     
    However involved you'd like to be, there is a place for you here!

    Please contact any board member or coordinator to discuss your time and talents.

    The following is a partial list of the many opportunities to volunteer.
     
     

    PRESIDENT:

     
    Preside at meetings of the PTO and Executive Board.
     
    Work closely with the Principal and Teacher Representative.
     
    Coordinate the work of all officers and committees so that
     
    the purpose and mission of the PTO is served.
     
     

    FIRST VICE-PRESIDENT:

     
    Act as aid to the President.
     
    Perform the duties of the President in their absence.
     
    Review the monthly bank statement with the Treasurer.
     
    Coordinate special projects as planned and as they arise. 
     

    SECOND VICE-PRESIDENT:

    Act as aid to the First Vice-President.
     
    Perform the duties of the First Vice-President in its absence.
     
    Act as chairman over all fundraising activities.
     

    SECRETARY:

    Attend all meetings and record proceedings and votes of the PTO. 
     
    Prepare agendas for the PTO meetings.
     
    Keep, bring, and make available to the membership all minutes,
     
    by-laws, rules, and any necessary supplies.
     
     

    TREASURER:

     
    Receive all PTO monies. Keep an accurate record of receipts and expenditures.
     
    Make payments as authorized.
     
    Present a statement of accounts at each meeting and as requested by the Board.
     
    Review the monthly bank statement with the First Vice-President.
     
     
     

    COMMITTEE MEMBERS:

    • Box Tops Committee: Collect Box Tops Folders from the office every 2 weeks, check expiration dates and email totals to the coordinator. Return counted and bagged Box Tops to the office. Plan treats for the contest winners.
    • Decorating Committee: Decorating the gym for holiday parties, 4 Honors Breakfasts, DARE Graduation, Bulletin Boards & Showcases.
    • Fit For Life Fundraising Committee: Planning, organizing, decorating, and making sure all activities, fundraisers, and business/family donations are completed and received. Collecting food donations and sponsors. Walking Wednesdays.
    • Bake Sales: Baking/providing cookies and treats and running the cash register about 2 times per year.

    • Holiday Party Committee: Planning,organizing, and running party activities and games. Signing up vendors. Clean up after parties.
    • Fun Family Fitness Committee: Chaperoning the event. Running the snack table. Second Saturday of the month.
    • Restaurant Fundraisers: Planning and organizing local restaurants to give back a portion of proceeds. Collecting payments. Monthly.

    • Landscaping Committee: Pulling weeds,watering and care of plants, flowers and shrubs on the school property.

    • Teacher Appreciation: Planning, organizing, decorating for the week-long activities. Collecting donations.

    • Copy Committee: Photo copying any worksheets for our teachers. Daily. Shifts 9-11am and 1-3pm.
    • Grandparent/Special Person Committee: Directing Visitors, Running Bake Sale. Running Book Fair.

     
     
    COORDINATORS:  Responsible to insure that all planning, organizing, & receiving of donations is completed. Work with the committee.
