    Hello! My name is Dennis Bunda and I am an 8th grade social studies teacher at Col. Wheeler Middle School.  This is my 12th year at CWMS and 26th year with the Crown Point School Corporation. I am the department chair for social studies as well as the team leader for 8th grade.  Previously, I taught World History and A.P. History at Crown Point High School. I served as the boys' as well as the girls' head track & field coach. I also coached football and basketball while at Crown Point.  Besides Crown Point, I have also taught or coached at Highland High School, Hammond Scott Middle School, Merrillville Pierce Middle School, Columbus (Ohio) South High School, Union Township Middle School, and Wheeler High School. At the college level, I served as a student-assistant football coach at both The Ohio State University and Valparaiso University. I have a degree in Organizational Communication/Business Marketing from The Ohio State University and a teaching endorsement from Purdue Calumet in Hammond.  I have also taken graduate classes from Valparaiso University.  Currently, I am enrolled in the  graduate studies program at Indiana Wesleyan University.  My hobbies include going to Ohio State football games, coaching high school track&field, playing golf, and spending time with my family.  My wife and I have a son who is a Sophomore in college at The Ohio State University and a daughter who is a Junior in high school.  Looking forward to a great school year for 2019-2020 !!!!
