• ARTICLE II:  Duties of Officers

    1. It shall be the duty of the President to preside at all meetings, appoint standing committees with ratification by the Officers, be the execute head of the Association with full powers to enforce the Constitution and By-Laws, and be a member ex-officio of all committees except for the nominating committee.  The President will act as liason between the Music Directors and the Executive Board.
    2. It shall be the duty of the Vice-President to preside in the absence of the President, perform such other duties as pertain to this office.  The Vice-President would assume the responsibilities of the President upon the resignations of the presiding President.  A Vice-President would be appointed by the Executive Board. 
    3. It shall be the duty of the Secretary to keep an accurate record, in a permanent form, of all business transacted at the regular meetings and keep an accurate record of all members of the Association.  The Secretary shall submit a statement of minutes of the previous meeting at each meeting of the Association to the Executive Board.
    4. It shall be the duty of the Treasurer to receive all monies accruing to the Association and to deposit same in an approved depository under the name of the Association.  The Treasurer shall pay all bills legitimately incurred by the Association as directed by the board.  The Treasurer shall submit a statement of the financial condition of the Association at each meeting  of the Association and the Executive Board, or whenever requested  The Treasurer shall prepare and file with governmental agencies the financial and other reports required by those agencies, proving copies of those reports for review by members upon request.  The Treasurer will have their accounts examined annually at the close of the fiscal year or upon change of officer by an auditor or an auditing committee of not fewer than three members, who satisfied that the Treasurer's annual report is correct, shall sign a statement of that fact at the end of the report.
