S.T.E.M. Action LABS
The Paxton Action LABS program offers 12 days of instruction in each of 8 Integrated Instructional Units (IIUs). The program delivers a contemporary curriculum of technological content and scientific inquiry through the balanced use of multimedia, video and hands-on activities.
Students in Engineering Technology will be building bridges, designing 3-D houses, breaking down and reassembling engines, manufacturing dragsters, connecting circuits, producing DVD holders, bending acrylic picture frames, Computer Programming (Agentsheets), and constructing/flying rockets.
There is a lot of action going on in this classroom, and the students are expected to learn how to problem solve, collaborate for active peer teaching, follow instructions, and effectively and efficiently use technology while striving to become life long learners.
