Students are expected to attend school every day. CPHS is a partner with parents to help develop student work ethic and career skills. If a student must be absent, it is the parent’s responsibility to notify the school on the day of the absence. Parents are required to notify the school attendance office of each student’s absence prior to 9:00 a.m. on the day of the absence.
Reporting Student Absence
Parents may call the attendance telephone extension (663-4885 extension 11010) 24 hours a day to report an absence. A student absence not verified by a parent may become a truancy.
When reporting an absence, the parent should give the following information:
Documentation for Exempt Absences
Students are expected to submit documentation for exempt absences the day they return to school. Students / parents can provide documentation by following one of these procedures:
