COURSE DESCRIPTION
This semester course emphasizes critical reading of both fiction and non-fiction texts with an emphasis on building discussion and writing skills. Students will examine a variety of texts from different time periods and genres. Students will examine these texts to identify the intended audiences and purposes for writing. This course is intended for students who are preparing for college or workforce entrance but are not yet ready for the rigor of dual-credit, college-level literary criticism (Adv. Comp./World Lit.).
