In this course students practice the fundamentals learned in the beginning course. While it is recommended that students enroll in the two hour course, a one hour course is available for those who cannot fit the two hour block into their schedule. The course work is project based with students studying joinery techniques, engineered materials, frame and panel construction, door and drawer construction, and the application of veneers and laminates. Students will receive instruction on the mortising machine, wood lathe, and shaper and these machines will be incorporated in their project work.
