COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Advanced Placement program in US History is designed to provide students with the analytic skills and knowledge necessary to deal with problems in US History. The program prepares students for intermediate and advanced college courses by making demands upon them equivalent to those made by a full-year introductory college course. Students will need to read 1-3 hours a week in a college level textbook, and they should be strong essay writers. To receive college credit, students must pass the AP test administered by the College Board.
