CPHS Guidance Department

The Crown Point Guidance Department engaged in a rigorous self-study last school year to develop a strategic plan of action to improve services to better serve all students. The department won awards from the American School Counselor Association and the Indiana Gold Star School Counseling Initiative. Based on this work, CPHS is excited to implement action plans to enhance college planning, develop group counseling, and initiate new student red carpet days.

Be sure to look at the pages on the left. There is a wealth of information about colleges, military, post high school athletics, and a calendar of college and military representatives visiting CPHS.

Navigating The College Admission Process

The Guidance Department is hosting a parent information session, “Navigating the College Admission Process,” for 10^th and 11^th grade parents Tuesday, April 30^th at 6:00 pm in the Large Group Instruction Room. If you are unable to attend and would like the information please view the guidance page "Navigating the College Process".

Attention Juniors: If you plan to attend school a half day your senior year, you must sign up for the Capstone or Internship program. Make an appointment with your guidance counselor to discuss this option. This must be done immediately!
