Newspaper James Hensley, Adviser The Paw Print is the name of the Col. John Wheeler Middle School newspaper. Students are chosen for the newspaper in an open call out. They write a paragraph and are chosen based on their writing sample. The Paw Print meets one time per week. The first week students are assigned their stories. During the second week students spend time writing and researching their story. The third and fourth weeks are spent typing the stories and putting them into the newspaper. The newspaper is printed approximately four times per year. Students choose their own topics and we have enjoyed a wide variety of topics. Last Modified on December 4, 2012
